The city of Logroño hosted recently the third edition of CONCENTRICO, the Arts and Architecture festival that invites us to rediscover corners of our town with some historical and cultural interest. A different way of touring places that usually go unnoticed; transformed into unique locations.
Each art installation was created by teams of architects and designers from all corners of the world: Korea, Brazil, France,… and the help of volunteers who dedicated their time to helping with the set-up. We had the opportunity to share experiences with them and our wines in a range of events organized during the festival.
This year’s innovation, organized by Bodegas LAN, was the first event outside of Logroño’s city wall; namely, in the Viña Lanciano estate. This unique space surrounded by rocks and vines, which harmonizes nature and culture, is where Estudio TAKK -a young team from Barcelona formed by Mireia Luzárraga and Alejandro Muiño- built a structure, 5 m. in diameter and with a 6 m. closure conceived to connect humans with nature.
The project was open to the public in a Picnic format and was visited by many people of all ages and origins who had the opportunity to enjoy TAKK’s work sheltered by the Sierra de Cantabria and only meters away from the Mantible bridge across the Ebro River.
In order to continue sharing this unique experience, we will maintain the structure in our vineyard so it can be visited in the next months, as a tribute to the excellent initiative that is this festival.
